Joint Accreditation IPCE

The Alaska Center for Rural Health & Health Workforce (ACRH–HW) now offers accredited continuing education for Alaska’s healthcare professionals. Through our joint accreditation, we can administer CE credits for multiple health professions through a single, unified process — supporting both single-profession and interprofessional continuing education (IPCE) programs.

JOINT ACCREDITATION | IPCE

ACRH–HW is a jointly accredited provider, which means we can administer continuing education for multiple health professions through one accreditation process. Our accreditation supports both single-profession and interprofessional continuing education (IPCE) credits for:

  • Dietitians
  • Nurses
  • Physician Assistants
  • Pharmacists
  • Physicians
  • Psychologists
  • Social Workers
  • Administrative & operational staff
  • Human resources, compliance & quality professionals
  • Information technology & informatics teams
  • Care coordinators, patient navigators & social support staff
  • Chaplains, spiritual care providers & pastoral counselors
  • Funeral service & bereavement professionals interacting with families

HELD ACCREDITATIONS | ACRH-HW

ACRH–HW, through Alaska AHEC and the CACHE program, is accredited by the following national organizations:

  • Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME)
  • Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)
  • American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
  • American Academy of PAs (AAPA)
  • American Psychological Association (APA)
  • Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB)
  • Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
  • International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET)

These accreditations allow us to provide CE credits that meet the requirements for relicensure, specialty certification, and continuing competency across a wide range of healthcare professions.

Supporting Additional Professions

For professions including clinical counselors, marriage and family therapists, and alcohol and drug counselors, our CE programs meet the requirements recognized by the appropriate Alaska state boards. Final acceptance for relicensure or certification remains with the individual licensing board.
