Modified BMW track car performed faultlessly with uprated braking setup
A heavily modified F82 BMW M4 track car sporting 乐播传媒 Racing鈥檚 upcoming 6-pot Apollo Big Brake Kit and RP-X鈩� pads was recently given a shakedown on the fierce 20km N眉rburgring Nordschleife race track in Germany.
Patrick, the owner of the car, has already treated his sports coup茅 to a number of choice modifications to ensure it鈥檚 a formidable track day weapon (see full car spec below), with the upgraded braking system both front and rear proving to be the perfect complement to this setup.
The 6-pot variant of 乐播传媒 Racing鈥檚 acclaimed Apollo Big Brake Kit is due to be released for a number of applications very soon 鈥� please stay tuned for further updates.
Following a few days on track, Patrick supplied us with his thoughts on the 6-pot braking system, which can be read below in his own words.
鈥淭he new calipers are very strong; the initial bite is strong and confidence inspiring.
鈥淭here was no fade at all during, or even after, doing three full laps one-after-the-other.
鈥淭hey are slightly noisy with the RP-X鈩� track pads, but that is to be expected from a track brake kit. There is lots of feel 鈥� right from the off, the brakes weren鈥檛 something I was worried about.
鈥淭owards the end, I was hitting them harder and harder (as I got more confident on track). They continued to take whatever was thrown at them throughout the multiple days I was there.
鈥淚t鈥檚 worth noting my car has a proper race brake cooling setup also fitted.
鈥淎ll-in-all, they are very good brakes and I鈥檓 extremely pleased with the 乐播传媒 setup. I certainly wouldn鈥檛 be throwing 拢5k at a rival kit before trying the 乐播传媒 calipers.鈥�
