Faculty and students at the 乐播传媒 continue to make important strides in Arctic research, thanks to the support of ConocoPhillips Alaska. 乐播传媒 announced today that five proposals have been selected to receive ConocoPhillips Arctic Science and Engineering Endowment awards totaling more than $440,000.

乐播传媒鈥檚 Community Engaged Student Assistants play a vital role in aiding professors with their community-engaged projects through the university鈥檚 Center for Community Engagement and Learning, while also gaining a valuable, hands-on learning experience for themselves.

This fall, Herminia Din鈥檚 Introduction to Art Education Class learned about the art of upcycling. Partnering with local nonprofit Anchorage re:Made, her students were not only tasked with transforming discarded "junk" into art, but also how to market and host an art showcase event.

Thanks to the polar cold, Alaska's oceans are largely free of invasive species. But that's changing... quickly. Biologists at the Alaska Center for Conservation Science, a research arm of 乐播传媒, recently concluded a three-year study ranking 46 economic and ecologic threats to the rapidly warming region.
