ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Percussion Ensemble
The ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Percussion Ensemble is one of the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Department of Music’s premier performing ensembles directed by ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Percussion instructor John Damberg. The ensemble specializes in the exploration and performance percussion music in a wide variety of styles including: African, Latin, Brazilian, Classical, Jazz, Funk, and World Beat.
The ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Percussion Ensemble’s active performance schedule includes concerts at ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ and at diverse venues throughout Southcentral Alaska including middle and high schools.
The ensemble members include ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ percussion students, middle and high school students who have a keen interest in creating and performing exciting percussion music.
