“Our final round of the Monoposto Championship was at Brands Hatch on the GP Circuit. Having not driven on it for over 20 years, it was going to be a steep learning curve…

“Qualifying went well, finishing P4 in the F3 class.

“Race 1 was damp; we stuck with slicks, but the wet-shod cars had an advantage. A late safety car on a drying track helped as I maintained 4th, narrowly missing out on 3rd by a car’s length.”

“Race 2 was sunny and dry. A good start and we were battling with our championship rivals. After numerous lead changes and a terrific race, we finished 3rd – again, a car’s length behind 2nd. We did however secure the fastest lap.  

“All this helped us with securing 3rd overall in the championship – narrowly missing out on the overall win. 

“We’d like to thank ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ for another fantastic year. We go again in 2027…â€�

“Donington is always one of our favourite circuits. Before we got there, the weather report was saying rain, rain, rain. And our wet tyres were several years old, so I managed to purchase a second-hand set which were much newer.

“We were meant to have a test on Friday but the weather was so bad we skipped all but one session.

“Saturday was qualifying and we didn’t know what to expect, given our lack of wet racing. 36 cars went out in a wet session; the car performed very well and gave me great confidence, to finish 6th overall and 1st in the F3B class. We were well chuffed as we never expected to be good in those conditions.”

“Race 1 was again wet and I had a great race with a fellow F3B, but was pipped to the win by 1 second. But we were still happy with P2.

“Race 2 and conditions were worse. The spray from cars meant you couldn’t see much especially when battling. There were multiple safety cars due to cars going off. We stayed on the black stuff to again finish in P2.

“Race 3. And because Monoposto ran four races but you only race three, my previous fastest lap was set in the wet but nearly the entire grid for my race set there time in the dry meaning I started p26! But it was dry and we knew we had to get through the cars as fast as possible. We ended up P9 overall and 4th in F3B, but again, fastest lap in the dry.”

“To say the weekend went well us an understatement for us. We didn’t have any major issues apart from getting everything dry when we returned home.

“We are now 3rd in the championship only six points adrift from the leader. With one race weekend left at Brands Hatch in three weeks which we are undecided to do as yet.�

“After nearly two months, we were finally back on track at our local circuit of Snetterton.

“After a successful Friday test, we set out Saturday morning to qualify. We qualified 9th out of 31 cars.”

“All three races were really good, battling with far newer F3 cars in our class. Over the weekend, we managed 3^rd place twice and a 2^nd-place finish.

“We will now focus on Donington Park on August bank holiday weekend.�

“It wasn’t without bad luck, as a high-speed spin at Abbey caused flat spots on the tyres, resulting in switching to last year’s tyres.

“In Race 1, I was very tentative due to rain during the race, so we were a little disappointed with P16 overall and P6 in class.”

“Rounds 4 and 5 of the Monoposto Championship were again at Silverstone, on the full GP circuit.

“A 42-car field, we qualified 14th overall and 4th in the F3B class.

“Race 1: we had a good race – we were catching 3rd, but sadly the race finished. We did finish 12th overall too.

“Race 2: we unfortunately were taken out at the very first corner.

“Our next race is at Snetterton in July…�

“Ahead of the racing, we also tested on the Friday, setting a new PB.

“Qualifying on Saturday was very busy, with 40+ cars on the circuit, but we were very happy with P9 overall – more importantly, P2 in F3B class.”

“In Race 2, with better weather, we had a terrific race coming through from 16th to 9th – at one point being pipped for 9th at the flag, albeit from a newer F3A car. We finished P10 overall and P2 in class, which we were very pleased with.
