Pinnacle Payments Inc., a full-service payments provider based in Alaska, is offering a Relationship Manager 鈥 Payment Processing internship for driven individuals seeking real-world experience in electronic commerce solutions. In partnership with a local financial institution, this internship provides hands-on opportunities to engage directly with prospective clients, identify pain points, and deliver customized payment processing solutions. Work is conducted remotely with visits to bank branches and client sites, requiring a full-time schedule (Monday鈥揊riday, 8 AM鈥5 PM) . Interns benefit from strategic, one-on-one coaching with seasoned industry professionals and gain valuable client-facing and sales experience. This paid opportunity offers a salary DOE plus uncapped monthly commissions and may lead to long-term placement.

2. Executive Director (Contractor) 鈥 Anchorage Estate Planning Council

The Anchorage Estate Planning Council (AEPC) is hiring a part-time Executive Director for the 2025鈥2026 season. This contractor role offers a stipend of $2,000 and provides a unique opportunity to explore the financial services and estate planning industries while developing professional connections. The Executive Director will manage AEPC鈥檚 day-to-day operations, including membership communications, website and Google Drive maintenance, monthly luncheon coordination, board meeting support, and event promotion through online platforms. This role is ideal for individuals who are highly organized, self-motivated, and interested in the legal, financial, or estate planning fields.

Take time to learn from colleagues in other departments. A quick coffee chat or Zoom call can open doors and expand your understanding of the industry. -
Stay Organized
Use a planner or digital tool to keep track of tasks, meetings, and deadlines. Being reliable and organized builds trust with your team. -
Stay in Touch Post-Internship
Maintain relationships with mentors and coworkers. A thoughtful message every few months can keep you top of mind for future opportunities.

CBPP Spotlight

Meet Rylee Doan, a lifelong Alaskan and our newest member of the College of Business and Public Policy鈥檚 staff! Rylee currently works in the Dean鈥檚 office full time as an administrative assistant and hopes to attend classes at the university next fall.
From having her art displayed locally in the Anchorage Museum to working in the medical industry, she has long been driven by the desire to support and inspire those around her.
Rylee has also studied Japanese for over a decade, both in academic settings and independently. In her free time, she continues to pursue her love of art, especially drawing and digital illustration, and has developed working knowledge of graphic design. She enjoys using these skills to create personal projects and contribute to collaborative ones.
鈥淚 like to think of passions and hobbies as foundational building blocks,鈥 Rylee says. 鈥淲ithout things that drive us or things that inspire us, what stops us from just falling over?鈥
Her creativity, curiosity and commitment to growth make her a valuable part of the CBPP community.
